Two Railway Companies
JR Shikoku (Yosan, Kotoku and Dosan lines) and Kotoden (Takamatsu-Kotohira Electric Railroad). JR starts from Takamatsu Station and Kotoden from Takamatsu-Chikko Station, both about a 5-minute walk from Takamatsu Port.

Three lines: Kotohira (to Kotohira and Konpira-san), Nagao (to Nagao) and Shido (to Yashima and Shido). Besides the local "IruCa" IC card, nationwide transit IC cards such as Suica and ICOCA are accepted. The "Kotoden Digital Ticket," bought on your phone, gives unlimited rides for 24 hours at ¥1,500 or 48 hours at ¥2,800 for adults. The one-day pass sold at ticket windows is ¥1,600.

The Yosan Line serves Marugame and Kanonji; the Dosan Line (change at Sakaide or Tadotsu) serves Kotohira; the Kotoku Line serves Hiketa and Higashikagawa. Limited express trains are easy to use with a basic ticket plus a non-reserved express ticket.
Kotoden Bus local routes cover Takamatsu city. Buses are convenient for the Yashima summit, Ritsurin Garden and Takamatsu Airport.
