Routes & Tickets
Boats to Naoshima, Teshima, Shodoshima, Megijima and Ogijima leave from Takamatsu Port (Sunport Takamatsu), a 5-minute walk from JR Takamatsu Station. Piers are separate by destination, so arrive 15 minutes before departure. Passengers need no reservation (first come, first served); vehicles are carried on ferries only and must be booked.
Shikoku Kisen ferry about 50 min (adults ¥680, 5 per day) and high-speed passenger boat about 30 min (adults ¥1,590, 3 per day). The high-speed boat does not carry bicycles or cars.
Shodoshima Ferry, 15 sailings a day. Ferry about 60 min (adults ¥700, round trip ¥1,330); high-speed boat about 35 min (adults ¥1,400, 8 per day).
Teshima Ferry high-speed boat, about 35 min (adults ¥1,450). 5 sailings a day from Mar 20 to Nov 30, 4 in winter. Some sailings call at Honmura Port on Naoshima (Takamatsu-Honmura ¥1,450, Honmura-Ieura ¥820).
Shiyujima Kaiun's ferry "Meon": 20 min to Megijima (adults ¥370), 40 min to Ogijima (adults ¥510). 6 sailings a day on the regular timetable.
Services may be cancelled in strong winds or typhoons. Check each operator's website on the morning of travel.
